  11. automaticly starts. It's when
  12. something new and refreshing invades a
  13. huge popularity of people or just one
  14. single person. What I am talking about
  15. here is 1st Christmas day. A cozy
  16. thursday afternoon just two days
  17. before another »CL8:'The Party'» would take
  18. place. Tomorrow night I will be
  19. visited by some friends of mine to go
  20. out in my hometown but first we would
  21. socialize a bit at my place before
  22. going into town. I had to clean things
  23. up a bit (arghh) Yet this happening
  24. made sure I really cleaned things up
  25. allright. Mature as I thought I was
  26. (and most certainly are now, anno
  27. domini 1999) I started with fresh
  28. motivation and after an hour or so my
  29. room started already to look quite
  30. acceptable for having some friends
  31. over. We had to sit in my room
  32. upstairs, unlike alot of other
  33. occasions where we always sat in the
  34. main living room, but that's the
  35. situation when your parents live in
  36. the same house as you :)

  41. »CL8:The Box, We Opened It, We Came..

  43. »CL7:Time was rumbling in the outer limits
  44. of my scene carreer, when I was about
  45. to open 3 carton boxes. The contents
  46. of the first box featured amongst
  47. others some cables, a power pc board
  48. for my long sold a500, 2 old disks and
  49. an a500 sound enhancer. Nothing
  50. ordinary so I put them back into the
  51. box and I stored it up the attic, next
  52. to the - ohh so famous - Nah-kolor
  53. beach ball. Obviously I didn't want to
  54. throw this carton box with all these
  55. 90's nostalgia away. (Am I an
  56. emotional human being or what ? :)

  63. »CL7:"Damn still two boxes to go" I thought
  64. by myself. Yet I wanted to finish this
  65. job of cleaning up as soon as
  66. possible; My future wife must be
  67. flexible what cleaning up is concerned
  68. that's for sure.. It's not that I hate
  69. it, but I just haven't the patience
  70. for it I guess. And thus I decited to
  71. open the 2nd carton box immidiately.
  72. When it was opened I realized that
  73. this could take a while to sort out,
  74. since it was full of documents and
  75. papers.

  77. This carton box was full of letters
  78. and some votesheets collected in my
  79. active period as a swapper. This from
  80. 1991 untill 1994, when I decided to
  81. quit swapping and just hold a few long
  82. swap mates on for the hang of it and
  83. old times sake.. Letters from amongst
  84. others Radavi of Effect and Killraven
  85. of Desire (who later would be the
  86. leader of Mystic) where in that box.
  87. But also a printout of the first
  88. scener I ever e-mailed. Perplex the
  89. coder of RAW magazine. But I emailed
  90. him trough the email address of my
  91. brothers high school, so this did not
  92. have any chance of continuation when I
  93. look back at it now.. The box also
  94. featured some letters of the first
  95. scener I ever contacted by snail mail.
  96. Lightforce of X-trade in Germany. Good
  97. old times, what have the flown by..
  98. Trash-head of Trsi letters, good old
  99. Polisg friend, who even joined
  100. Nah-kolor once.. Phantom of Applause
  101. my old group and of course Sascha, my
  102. oldskool friend in real life even
  103. now.. Also some Jetset tag's on paper
  104. and letters appeared from nowhere at
  105. all.. Last but not least a banknote
  106. from 'Martijn van Meel' or better
  107. known as good old graphician Facet,
  108. which he used to return some money on
  109. my bankaccount which wasn't spend on
  110. our trip to The Party 1993..

  113. »CL8:The Third and Final Box..

  115. »CL7:The last box featured 2 empty
  116. diskboxes. The biggest one, which can
  117. handle around 50 3,5 inch disks was
  118. full of stickers on the outside.. A
  119. cool and colourfull sticker of Depth
  120. (with a nice woman next to the logo
  121. waering a wet t-shirt:) , the infamous
  122. TRSI sticker with a TRSI logo by
  123. J.O.E. A nice but huge blue & white
  124. sticker of Animators. A disklabel of
  125. Wicked Sensation by Trsi. Even a
  126. sticker of the diskmagazine Suicid
  127. published by Energy & Manitou, where
  128. Zinkfloid or now better known as
  129. Uyanik was once main-ed of once..
  130. Other stickers on the box are from
  131. Trance Inc, Orgin, Divine, TFA (the
  132. group byhind the ASM coding program)
  133. Xentrix, Procaz, Bonanza Crew,
  134. Computer Shopper Show Koln 8-11
  135. Oktober 1992. And some more.. Of 
  136. course this box was fully tagged on,
  137. as an old custom back in the good old
  138. days! The small disk-box for around 10
  139. 3,5 inch disks was only tagged by Dope
  140. of Spaceballs and me :)

  143. »CL7:The fun part of writing this article
  144. is actually the fact it was written in
  145. one and a half year!! Yeay, this
  146. wasn't at christmas last year, but
  147. 1997. I started writing the beginning
  148. of this article, written down all the
  149. stuff what was stored in those three
  150. carton boxes and finished the article
  151. just now at the end of August 1999.
  152. Luckely I still had my diskbox with
  153. all those stickers on it, that came in
  154. handy. I can say the small
  155. 'get-together' at my place worked out
  156. quite fine, and we had a nice time in
  157. our local disco called 'Vernes' or for
  158. some older locals around here 'The
  159. Lantaern' It was christmas ball so
  160. everybody was dressed up very nice
  161. indeed.. The boxes are now closed and
  162. went up into oblivion.. Have a nice
  163. life! All things DO end someday.. :-)
